Art 3 > Art 4 Summer Assignment Progress 2

This month I began work on my strawberry shortcake. I cut pieces of cardboard into the shape of slices. I made several for different layers of the cake. I also made a strawberry, then painted all the pieces with acrylic paint.

The hardest part was making edge frosting for the top piece of the cake. I originally rolled out a cylinder of clay, but it didn't look right. I am still in the process of creating that so I can finish the cake. I did find that this process made me enjoy 3D art again and I might want to do it more during the school year.
