Art 3 > Art 4 Summer Assignment Progress

For my Art 4 Summer Assignment I decided to further develop the Heart and 2D to 3D works from my Fantastic Four assignment. This month I was in the brainstorming phase.

Fantastic Four Heart

For my Heart, I continued my theme from the Play Pages of strawberries and drew them in a medium I enjoy, graphite. While I haven't settled on a subject for my next graphite piece, I want it to incorporate strawberries. I also want to improve on the shading and use more hatching techniques.

Fantastic Four 2D to 3D

For the 2D to 3D work, I used a plastic berry container and made 3D strawberries to put inside. I want to make a 3D strawberry again for my summer assignment, but I am going to branch out beyond the fruit itself. I decided to make a slice of strawberry shortcake out of clay for my summer assignment. I think this also continues my theme of sweetness, not just in the strawberries, but because one of my Fantastic Four works depicted a cake.
